Foxton, Eileen Elizabeth

Brief Profile

Eileen Elizabeth Thompson was born in Buxton, Derbyshire on 1^st May 1933.

She attended Hardwick Square School and Silverlands Girls School, Buxton. Following school, her first job was at a popular shoe shop in Buxton as a sales assistant.

She married Ronald Peter Foxton on 25^th September 1954. They had their first child, Lynn Elizabeth Foxton 22^nd September 1955, and their second child Nigel John Foxton on 30^th July 1957.

Following the birth of her children, Eileen worked as a housewife for her family, and as a housekeeper for her parents. She took a part-time job at Greenwoods Menswear in 1984, where she worked until she retired in 2004.

Following her retirement in 2004, she kept herself busy with a part-time cleaning job at her daughter’s security firm. She loved baking and gardening in her free time.

Throughout her life, Eileen was a much loved wife, mother and grandmother.

She died 23^rd June 2020, age 87, at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport.
